Crazy Train

It’s been a crazy week. Friday had to take a half-day off and head for the hills for the wife’s family reunion. Wanted to take the mountain bike and do some easy rides in the hills but Trek screwed up on sending parts so the bike wasn’t ready to go. The mother-in-law has a stock fuel 90 so Saturday morning I decided to take an easy spin down some of the roads. I ended up riding for over an hour. I felt really good did some good climbing. It really sucks riding in jeans and a t-shirt but it beats sitting around a campfire getting fat on marshmallows. We made fun of one of the wife’s brothers who is doing the bow hunt and after dinner was taking the family out for some quality road hunting. I figured they were taking a page out of Foxworthy’s book. You know you’re a redneck when you dress up for dinner by having the wife and kids in camo clothing. I thought maybe it was for a family picture or something.

Saturday night I had to race home. I had to catch the 8:30 flight Sunday morning to Charlotte NC via Atlanta for work. I hate the fact that I only had 45 minutes to switch planes in Atlanta. I landed at the E-terminal and had to race to the A-terminal. Slyfox would have been proud the way I shredded through the traffic to get to the plane with 15 minutes to spare. Flying back last night really sucked. Atlanta had storms so I missed my original flight to SL and had to catch the flight at 9:15. Good thing I had a book to read. I’m tired today. Got in at 1:00 and up at 6:30 for work. Tonight it’s cleaning bikes and mowing the lawn. I guess I missed out on all the fun!
