Moab Days 2 and 3

Saturday night we camped in Kane Creek.

OTB Chad decided to do some riding around camp

and we went to bed early planning on getting an early start on Porcupine Rim.
Sunday morning we got up early and by 9:00 we were at the trail end parking lot ready to roll out. We decided to ride the road section through town first rather than after the trail ride.

As we hit the main parking area OTB found a group of ladies getting ready to go up and do the upper trail

(we won't talk about the fact that later we ran into them on the way back from dinner and they bought us drinks and he still went home alone and without a phone number or email address) so we followed them up and rode with them. It was a good ride. I was happy that I had to stop and wait on the DH for OTB a few times.

He did live up to his name by going OTB and hurting a finger when landing on the rock. Not long after I took a bad line and got another flat. All in all we did 4 hours of riding in record breaking heat. 120 oz of fluids just wasn’t enough and I was ready to pound water when we got back to the truck.

Monday morning we decided to do an easy ride along the road leading into Canyonlands.

I ended up getting a flat on my road bike making me 3 for 3 on flats. All in all a good weekend to ride.
