Utrider and I carpooled to the race.
During the warm-up I knew things were going to be bad because my legs didn't want to turn the pedals and I couldn't get my heart-rate up. Sure enough as soon as Ed said go I proceeded to get thrown off the back of the pack like old shorts. I decided to just try and get into a grove and not worry about the race.
After about 5 or 10 minutes I finally managed to catch Mark and then started catching other people. My legs didn't have much for the climbs but I managed to spin up all of them.

Finally, after the hike-a-bike on lap two I started to feel better but it was too late to make much of a move and I had to settle for 9th.
Next week it looks like the Cache Valley Mudfest is on. I'm also thinking about hitting the Wednesday night race at Soldier Hollow.

The Wednesday evening race at Soldier Hollow is a bike biathlon. I did one last year and it was a blast. I'll be there if the weather isn't bad.
