Crit or no Crit?

I'm thinking about doing the Harvest Moon Crit on the 29th. I've never done a crit before and I'm a little nervous about jumping in and doing a 4 corner high speed crit off the bat. I heard the stories about all the crashes at RMR so I'm a little nervous about doing one. The other issue is that the first cross race is the next morning and I'd like to try and hit at least 80% of the cross races. The only reason I'm considering it is to get another race for my 4 upgrade in the bag.

If you want to try a crit, try Harvest Moon. I cannot imagine the road conditions and turns would be any worse than RMR. Besides, you can try DMV or RMR anytime.

What, you don't want to do the annual Hell of the North race with me anymore? I'll probably be a road 5 forever seeing as I average 1 race/year!

I'd rather not have to do any more 5 races, just too disorganized. After doing a couple of master's races this year it's just a better experience. Unless I get 3 races in before Hell of North, I'll be doing that as a 5 again.

i am serious, submit for the upgrade, include the master races, and cyclocross races, you will get the upgrade.

I will give you a prize if you don't

anyway, the 4's are not much better than the 5's, I got taken out in the 4's at Hell of the North a few years back, a mile in, an a straight, flat, slow section, submit for the upgrade, just log onto usacycling and do it HTFU, quit talking, start acting.
