The weekend that wasn't

Originally the weekend was supposed to be the annual Moab 3 days of training hell. The Bull Elk decided to buy a condo and screwed that idea up. I still ended up with Friday and Monday off so I thought I would take advantage and ride anyway.

Friday turned out to be really bad. I rode up to the end of the pavement of Rose Canyon, then a short spin for a mile up Butterfield Canyon. On my way to the entrance to the mine visitor’s center I noticed my seat was feeling a little loose. I stop to look and started tightening the bolt and the seat post basically exploded. Now I was in real trouble. Everyone I knew was at work and I didn’t have a seat. So fortunately the ride home was downhill and I made it home without a seat.
