What's on your Ipod

I always enjoy reading or finding out what people listen to while they ride or workout. Do people really use music to motivate themself or is it just something to help pass the time? I tried listening to a book on tape while riding once and I ended up concentrating on it rather then riding and my speed and heart rate kept falling. For me the music is background noise, something to keep the ride from getting boring. Current on the MP3 player I have quite a range of music.

Start with Paul Oakenfold to warm up, move into Stone Temple Pilots, some Big Head Todd to recover, then Alice in Chains to push the tempo really hard, and then finish with Venus Home to cool down. Pretty diverse!

You should listen to Slayer's Reign is Blood to get your heart-rate up. It's an intense 28 minute ride to hell and back.

I hate it when my music becomes Muzak. I like to focus to music, especially with headphone and in the dark. The first GNR album still gives me the chills because it's so damn good.
